Data from several systems in one database, without manual exports

Reports rarely break at the chart. More often they break at the step where someone exports files from the CRM, the online shop and accounting every week. Airbyte takes over that copying, and we make sure the data in the database adds up.

What Airbyte is

Based on the vendor's materials (airbyte.com). We don't add features the vendor doesn't claim.

  • The vendor describes Airbyte as a platform for replicating data from many sources into data warehouses, data lakes and databases.
  • According to the vendor, more than 600 sources and destinations are available.
  • A sync can be a full refresh or incremental, reading only the records added since the last run.
  • Some sources support change data capture (CDC).
  • Syncs run at a set interval, on a cron expression or manually.
  • The self-managed version can be used inside a company without limits on connections or users, while the licence does not allow offering it to others as a managed service.

What we do

This is the part we're responsible for. It isn't taken from the vendor's materials.

  1. We list your sources: what is in the CRM, online shop, accounting system and spreadsheets, how often it changes and who owns it.
  2. We check whether a ready-made connector exists for your systems. If it doesn't, we propose an integration via the API or n8n.
  3. We install Airbyte on your server or configure Airbyte Cloud in your own account. We don't provide it as our hosted service.
  4. We prepare the destination database, most often PostgreSQL, and agree which tables and fields should be synced.
  5. We choose the sync mode and schedule based on how up to date the reports need to be.
  6. We set up alerts for failed syncs so a report never stops silently.
  7. On top of the collected data we build the model and dashboards in Metabase, Power BI or Looker Studio.
  8. We document the connections and hand admin access to you, not just to us.

Airbyte or n8n?

Both tools move data, but for different jobs.

  • We choose Airbyte when whole tables need to be copied regularly into a reporting database and their history kept.
  • We choose n8n when an event in one system should trigger an action in another, for example a new order creating a task or a message.
  • In many projects they work together: Airbyte feeds the reports and n8n runs the processes.

What it costs with us

Net prices for our work. The server, the database and any Airbyte Cloud subscription are separate items, paid directly to the provider. We agree the exact scope after a free consultation.

What we won't claim

Vendor and reseller websites are full of promises. We won't make these:

  • We are not an Airbyte partner. We implement the tool because it works well in our data projects.
  • We won't promise a ready-made connector for every Polish software package. We check this before quoting.
  • We won't claim the data will be up to the second if the source doesn't allow it.
  • We won't host Airbyte for multiple clients as our own service, because the licence doesn't allow it.
  • We won't fix poor data quality just by moving it into a new database.

Questions about Airbyte.

Will Airbyte replace exporting to Excel?

Usually, yes. Instead of manual exports, data reaches the database on a schedule and the report reads it from there. Excel can still be used for analysis, but it stops being the place where data gets stitched together.

Does our data have to leave the company?

No. We can install Airbyte and the destination database on your own server. With Airbyte Cloud, data passes through the vendor's infrastructure, so we discuss this before you choose.

What if our system has no connector?

We check whether the system has an API or can export to a database or files. Then we build the integration in n8n or a simple script. We tell you this before quoting, not halfway through the project.

How often can the data refresh?

As often as the source, its API limits and the infrastructure cost allow. For most management reports, once a day or a few times a day is enough.

Who maintains it after implementation?

You can take it over yourselves using the documentation, or leave updates, sync monitoring and error handling to us as part of ongoing support.
