Bitdefender GravityZone, deployed and maintained, not just sold
A licence without configured policies and without anyone watching the alerts is a cost, not protection. We set up the console, configure policies for each type of workstation and handle the alerts.
What is GravityZone
Based on the vendor's materials (bitdefender.com). We don't add features the vendor doesn't claim.
- The vendor describes GravityZone Business Security as protection against ransomware and advanced threats, providing visibility and control over devices.
- Everything is managed from a single central console covering all protection components.
- The console includes a risk dashboard that identifies systems, applications and users at higher risk and suggests remediation actions.
- The manufacturer also provides a separate variant intended for small companies, scalable as the organisation grows.
- The platform is modular, so you can add devices and add-ons and upgrade to a higher tier.
- Licensing is per device and covers laptops, desktops and file servers.
What we do
This is the part we're responsible for; it isn't taken from the vendor's materials.
- We set up the management console and prepare a set of policies suited to each type of workstation.
- We roll out protection to workstations and servers in stages, so work isn't interrupted.
- We configure notifications so alerts reach us, not an inbox nobody reads.
- We respond to tickets and alerts within the support window of your managed IT package.
- We carry out regular configuration reviews and report on the protection status.
- We bill licences as a separate line item per device, not as a hidden part of the subscription.
Additional layers
Available alongside the base tier, billed separately.
- The network attack defence and risk management add-on monitors network traffic in real time and lets you manage risk at the level of devices, applications and user behaviour from the same console.
- The vendor also offers web and device control modules that restrict the use of unauthorised hardware.
What it costs with us
Net prices. The licence is always a separate line item next to the managed IT subscription, so you can see how many devices you're paying for. For businesses without a subscription, we also offer deployment on its own: audit of an existing installation PLN 500 net, deployment assistance for up to 99 workstations PLN 1,000 net, certified administrator training PLN 2,000 net.
- Basic device protection
- from PLN 19 net per month per device
- Detection and response tier
- from PLN 29 net per month per device
- Add-on modules
- price per module
- Managed detection and response service
- individual quote after discussing your risk
What we won't claim
Vendor and reseller websites are full of promises. We won't make these:
- We won't state our partnership tier or partner programme number.
- We won't quote a detection rate percentage, because without a methodology such a figure means nothing.
- We won't promise that an incident will never happen. No tool can guarantee that.
- We won't present independent lab test results as our own promise.
- We won't present the vendor's customer references as our own deployments.
Questions about Bitdefender.
Is the licence included in the managed IT price?
No, and that's deliberate. It is billed separately per device, from PLN 19 net per month. This keeps the support price comparable with other providers' offers, and you pay only for devices that are actually protected.
Base tier, or detection and response?
The detection and response tier makes sense where the risk or the value of the data is higher: an ERP system, personal data, remote work, access to company bank accounts. In a typical office without these, the base tier plus two-factor authentication and a tested backup usually gives more for the same money.
We already use a different antivirus. Do we have to replace it?
Not as a rule. We check whether your current solution has a central console, whether you can verify how many devices are protected, and whether anyone is handling the alerts. If all three are in place, replacing it isn't a priority. If none of them are, it's usually the first thing to sort out.
