Book an IT review

The catalogue of applications we deploy on your server.

45 applications in 11 categories. For each one: the licence with a link to its text, the main limits of the free edition, the interface language and our assessment of when it fits. The facts come from the vendors' materials, read on 2 October 2026.

How to read this catalogue.

  • A good starting point for most companies. The application solves a typical problem without paid add-ons, or with add-ons whose cost is clear.
  • We deploy it when it fits the case. Good in a specific situation, which we describe next to the application. Outside it, we suggest something simpler.
  • Licence. The link leads to the licence text on the vendor's side. Licences that are not open source as defined by the OSI are marked separately.
  • Infrastructure. Every application runs on a server that belongs to you. We do not host applications on our own hardware.

Files and documents

Shared files with permissions, editing documents in the browser, an archive of scans.

How we choose in this category

Seafile Community Edition

A good starting point for most companies

File sync and sharing on the company's own server.

Licence
AGPLv3
Language
interface in Polish
  • Account sync with LDAP and Active Directory, SSO sign-in and an audit log are in the paid Pro edition.

Our assessment: A lightweight file server with clients for computers and phones. The Pro edition only when domain sign-in is needed.

Vendor website (seafile.com)

Collabora Online

We deploy it when it fits the case

Editing office documents in the browser, run on your own infrastructure.

Language
Polish translation not confirmed
  • The vendor does not recommend the free CODE development edition for production work. For production it offers a subscription edition.

Our assessment: A document editor is a separate component and a separate licensing decision. We deploy it with a subscription when the company will work in it every day.

Vendor website (collaboraonline.com)

ONLYOFFICE Docs Community

We deploy it when it fits the case

Text, spreadsheet and presentation editors for working together in the browser, compatible with .docx, .xlsx and .pptx formats.

Licence
AGPLv3
Language
interface in Polish
  • From version 9.4, the Community edition has no limit of 20 simultaneous connections.
  • Editing in a phone browser, the admin panel and clustering are only in the commercial editions.

Our assessment: The right editor depends on how the company works with documents, so we test it on your files first.

Vendor website (onlyoffice.com)

Paperless-ngx

We deploy it when it fits the case

Scanning, indexing and archiving company documents with full-text search.

Licence
GPLv3
Language
interface in Polish
  • The project is developed by the community, without commercial support from a vendor.

Our assessment: First we agree which documents go into the archive and how long you keep them. The tool does not replace records management rules.

Vendor website (docs.paperless-ngx.com)

Chat and video calls

Team chat with threads, video meetings and online training.

How we choose in this category

Zulip

A good starting point for most companies

A team chat app in which conversations are organised into threads.

Licence
Apache 2.0
Language
interface in Polish
  • On a self-hosted server, free mobile push notifications cover up to 10 users. A larger team needs a paid plan from the vendor or, if it qualifies, the Community plan.

Our assessment: All the code is open, and the only significant cost for a larger team is the mobile notification plan, known before deployment.

Vendor website (zulip.com)

Jitsi Meet

A good starting point for most companies

Video conferencing in the browser, which can be run on your own server.

Licence
Apache 2.0
Language
interface in Polish
  • The documentation usually recommends 8 GB of RAM. Requirements grow with the number of participants, and recording needs separate resources.

Our assessment: Internal meetings without accounts at an outside provider. We check the server's bandwidth before going live.

Vendor website (jitsi.org)

BigBlueButton

We deploy it when it fits the case

A virtual classroom for online training with a whiteboard, presentation and breakout rooms.

Licence
LGPLv3
Language
interface in Polish
  • The server requires, among other things, 8 cores and 16 GB of RAM.

Our assessment: It makes sense for companies that run training regularly. A lighter tool is enough for ordinary meetings.

Vendor website (bigbluebutton.org)

Passwords and sign-in

A team password manager and single sign-on to company applications.

How we choose in this category

Passbolt Community Edition

A good starting point for most companies

Storing and sharing passwords in a team, with access granted to people and groups.

Licence
AGPLv3
Language
interface in Polish
  • Integration with LDAP and Active Directory, SSO sign-in and account recovery are in the paid Pro edition.

Our assessment: We provide independent technical support for Passbolt CE. We choose it most often for companies that share passwords in teams.

Vendor website (passbolt.com)

Vaultwarden

We deploy it when it fits the case

An unofficial server compatible with the Bitwarden apps, developed by the community.

Licence
AGPLv3
Language
interface in Polish (client apps)
  • The project is not associated with Bitwarden, Inc.

Our assessment: It stores particularly sensitive data, so we always compare it with the official server from the vendor of the apps.

Vendor website (github.com)

authentik

We deploy it when it fits the case

A single sign-in platform for the company's applications.

Language
interface in Polish
  • The Enterprise edition adds, among other things, integration with Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra ID directories.

Our assessment: We deploy it when a company has several applications on its own servers and wants single sign-on with a second factor.

Vendor website (goauthentik.io)

ZITADEL

We deploy it when it fits the case

An identity and sign-in platform for applications and users.

Language
interface in Polish
  • Versions before 3.0 were licensed under Apache 2.0, newer ones under AGPLv3.

Our assessment: We choose it when sign-in also has to cover applications for the company's customers, not just employees.

Vendor website (zitadel.com)

Knowledge base

Procedures, instructions and documentation in one place, with search and version history.

How we choose in this category

BookStack

A good starting point for most companies

A platform for organising and storing company knowledge.

Licence
MIT
Language
interface in Polish
  • The vendor has no separate enterprise edition. Sign-in through LDAP, SAML and OpenID Connect is in the free edition.

Our assessment: Easy to use for people who do not write documentation professionally, and the vendor explicitly allows services around the project.

Vendor website (bookstackapp.com)

XWiki

We deploy it when it fits the case

A company wiki that can be extended with applications.

Licence
LGPL 2.1
Language
interface in Polish

Our assessment: An extensive system built on Java. We deploy the long-term support branch when the wiki is meant to be more than a set of instructions.

Vendor website (xwiki.org)

DokuWiki

We deploy it when it fits the case

An open source wiki engine.

Licence
GPLv2
Language
interface in Polish

Our assessment: Good for a small technical team. For non-technical departments we usually choose a visual editor.

Vendor website (dokuwiki.org)

Wiki.js 2

We deploy it when it fits the case

Open source wiki software.

Licence
AGPLv3
Language
Polish translation not confirmed
  • Version 3 is in beta and the vendor does not recommend it for production. We deploy the stable version 2.

Our assessment: Moving from version 2 to 3 will need planning, so we deploy it only when the client is aware of this.

Vendor website (js.wiki)

Helpdesk and IT assets

Tickets, a shared customer service mailbox, an IT asset register and remote support.

How we choose in this category

Zammad

A good starting point for most companies

A web-based helpdesk and customer support system.

Licence
AGPLv3
Language
interface in Polish
  • Memory requirements depend on the number of agents and grow when the search engine runs on the same server.

Our assessment: A good choice for external customer support. We do not develop Zammad; we deploy and maintain the vendor's version.

Vendor website (zammad.org)

GLPI

We deploy it when it fits the case

Management of IT assets and tickets in a service desk model.

Licence
GPLv3
Language
interface in Polish

Our assessment: Extensive and needs careful configuration. It suits an IT department that wants an asset register and tickets in one system.

Vendor website (glpi-project.org)

FreeScout

A good starting point for most companies

A helpdesk and shared mailbox on your own server.

Licence
AGPLv3
Language
interface in Polish
  • Sign-in through LDAP and SSO is available as paid modules.

Our assessment: The simplest route from an office@ mailbox to a queue with assignment and conversation history.

Vendor website (freescout.net)

Snipe-IT

A good starting point for most companies

A register of IT equipment and licences.

Licence
AGPLv3
Language
interface in Polish
  • The vendor does not limit the features of the free edition compared with its hosted service.

Our assessment: It brings order to issuing and returning equipment. Most of the work is the first inventory, not the installation itself.

Vendor website (snipeitapp.com)

MeshCentral

We deploy it when it fits the case

Remote management of computers and remote desktop through a browser.

Licence
Apache 2.0
Language
interface in Polish

Our assessment: It gives wide access to computers, so we deploy it with a second sign-in factor and restricted network access.

Vendor website (meshcentral.com)

Projects and tasks

Project planning, task boards and schedules.

How we choose in this category

OpenProject Community

A good starting point for most companies

Classic, agile and hybrid project management: tasks, Gantt charts, boards and time tracking.

Licence
GPLv3
Language
interface in Polish
  • Sign-in through OpenID Connect providers is an Enterprise add-on.

Our assessment: A mature system for companies that run projects with a schedule and a time budget.

Vendor website (openproject.org)

Vikunja

A good starting point for most companies

A task manager with lists, a Kanban board and a Gantt chart.

Licence
AGPLv3
Language
interface in Polish

Our assessment: Light and simple. It suits a team that needs task lists rather than a project methodology.

Vendor website (vikunja.io)

Plane Community Edition

We deploy it when it fits the case

Planning and tracking project work.

Licence
AGPLv3
Language
interface in Polish
  • The Community edition has the features of the vendor's free cloud plan, without the features of paid plans.

Our assessment: It suits product and development teams. We check the lack of SSO sign-in in the free edition before deciding.

Vendor website (plane.so)

Leantime

We deploy it when it fits the case

A project system for people who are not professional project managers.

Licence
AGPLv3
Language
interface in Polish
  • Some features are available as paid plugins, which may be licensed differently from the core.

Our assessment: An interesting alternative for small teams, but the paid plugins need assessing before deployment.

Vendor website (leantime.io)

CRM and sales

Contacts, sales opportunities and the history of conversations with customers.

EspoCRM

A good starting point for most companies

Managing contacts, sales, customer service and marketing in one system.

Licence
AGPLv3
Language
interface in Polish
  • Reports, BPM processes and automated workflows are in the paid Advanced Pack extension.

Our assessment: A clear CRM for a small sales team, with a clearly described paid extension.

Vendor website (espocrm.com)

SuiteCRM

We deploy it when it fits the case

An open source CRM system.

Licence
AGPLv3
Language
Polish translation not confirmed (community pack)

Our assessment: An extensive CRM. We check the Polish language pack on a test installation before deciding.

Vendor website (suitecrm.com)

Automation, reports and surveys

Workflows between systems, data dashboards and gathering feedback.

n8n

A good starting point for most companies

A workflow automation platform.

Licence
Sustainable Use Licencea licence with restrictions, not open source as defined by the OSI
Language
interface without Polish
  • The vendor allows paid deployment and maintenance of n8n on the client's infrastructure. Hosting n8n by a service provider requires a separate licence, so the instance always belongs to you.

Our assessment: We use it in automation projects. Its licence is not open source as defined by the OSI, which we say before deployment.

Vendor website (n8n.io)AI and automation

Activepieces

We deploy it when it fits the case

Workflow automation between applications; the core is open source.

Licence
MIT (core)
Language
interface without Polish
  • Enterprise features require the vendor's commercial licence.

Our assessment: An alternative when the core licence has to be fully open. Moving from another tool means building the workflows again.

Vendor website (activepieces.com)

Node-RED

We deploy it when it fits the case

A low-code tool for event-driven applications.

Licence
Apache 2.0
Language
interface without Polish
  • By default the editor is not secured. Securing access is part of every deployment we do.

Our assessment: It suits manufacturing and automation, where data comes from devices rather than office applications.

Vendor website (nodered.org)

Formbricks

We deploy it when it fits the case

Surveys and feedback from customers and employees.

Language
Polish partially (surveys yes, admin panel no)
  • SSO sign-in, two-factor authentication and team roles are in the Enterprise edition.

Our assessment: It works well for recurring satisfaction surveys. The admin panel is in English.

Vendor website (formbricks.com)

Monitoring, backups and access

Availability checks, backups and secure connections to the company network.

Uptime Kuma

A good starting point for most companies

Monitoring the availability of services, run on your own server.

Licence
MIT
Language
interface in Polish

Our assessment: We run it outside the monitored server, because a monitor that goes down with the service will not send an alert.

Vendor website (github.com)

Zabbix

We deploy it when it fits the case

Network and application monitoring.

Language
interface in Polish

Our assessment: We offer monitoring services based on Zabbix for a larger number of devices. For a few services a simpler tool is enough.

Vendor website (zabbix.com)

Checkmk Community

We deploy it when it fits the case

Infrastructure and application monitoring, in the cloud and on company servers.

Licence
GPLv2
Language
interface without Polish
  • Some features are available only in the commercial editions.

Our assessment: An alternative for extensive infrastructure. The interface does not include Polish.

Vendor website (checkmk.com)

Proxmox Backup Server

A good starting point for most companies

Backup and restore of virtual machines, containers and physical servers.

Licence
AGPLv3
Language
interface in Polish
  • All features work without a subscription. A subscription provides the Enterprise repository and vendor support.

Our assessment: The natural choice with Proxmox virtualisation. For us, backups without a restore test are not a finished deployment.

Vendor website (proxmox.com)Servers, virtualisation and backup

UrBackup

We deploy it when it fits the case

A network backup system for computers running Windows, macOS and Linux.

Licence
AGPLv3
Language
interface in Polish

Our assessment: For backing up office workstations. Server backups need a different tool.

Vendor website (urbackup.org)

Kopia

We deploy it when it fits the case

Backups with client-side encryption, compression and deduplication.

Licence
Apache 2.0
Language
interface without Polish

Our assessment: For off-site backups of files and servers. We keep the encryption key together with the recovery plan.

Vendor website (kopia.io)

NetBird

We deploy it when it fits the case

A private network connecting devices and users, with Zero Trust access control.

Language
interface without Polish

Our assessment: It replaces a classic VPN when employees connect from many places to several systems.

Vendor website (netbird.io)

For IT teams and websites

Code repositories and website statistics without cookies.

Gitea

We deploy it when it fits the case

Git repositories with code review, a package registry and CI/CD.

Licence
MIT
Language
interface in Polish
  • SAML, extended audit and enforcing a second sign-in factor are in the Enterprise edition.

Our assessment: An alternative to Forgejo when the company wants the option of commercial vendor support.

Vendor website (about.gitea.com)

Umami

A good starting point for most companies

Website statistics designed with privacy in mind, without cookies.

Licence
MIT
Language
interface in Polish
  • We still describe the statistics in the website's privacy policy, like any other processing of visitors' data.

Our assessment: Enough for most company websites that need visitor numbers and traffic sources.

Vendor website (umami.is)

AI on your own server

Language models running on the company's hardware, without sending content to an outside service.

Ollama

We deploy it when it fits the case

Running open language models on the company's hardware.

Licence
MIT
Language
interface without Polish (no graphical interface)
  • The Ollama licence does not cover the models. We check the licence of each model separately before using it in a company.

Our assessment: It needs a suitable graphics card, or acceptance of slower answers. We choose the hardware after a test on your data.

Vendor website (ollama.com)AI and automation

Open WebUI

We deploy it when it fits the case

A chat interface for AI models, including models run locally.

Licence
Open WebUI Licencea licence with restrictions, not open source as defined by the OSI
Language
interface in Polish
  • The licence prohibits changing the Open WebUI branding, except for the exceptions it describes. We do not offer it under another name.

Our assessment: It gives employees a convenient chat without sending content to an outside service, provided the model runs locally.

Vendor website (openwebui.com)

What we do not deploy and why.

We also checked applications that are not in the catalogue. We rejected them for one of the reasons below. You can ask about a specific tool in a conversation.

  • Applications whose licence prohibits a managed service

Some projects let you download the code but prohibit providing services around it without an agreement with the vendor. We do not deploy these, even if they work technically.

  • Versions the vendor does not recommend for production

If the vendor says a release is a test release or intended for private use, we do not build a company system on it.

  • Binaries under a closed licence posing as the open edition

We check which licence covers the specific installation file, not just the code in the repository.

  • Invoicing, accounting and HR

In Poland these systems have to keep up with KSeF and labour law. Here we implement enova365 as an authorised partner, not applications without confirmed compliance.

  • Signing contracts

The legal effect of a signature depends on its type and provider. That is a decision for a lawyer, not for a server administrator.

  • In-house mail servers

Deliverability, spam filtering and SPF, DKIM and DMARC records are years of work. For a small company, managed e-mail is usually less risky.

  • Projects in maintenance mode or with out-of-date documentation

A tool without development and with instructions for systems from several years ago is a debt you will pay at the first update.

Missing an application you use?

The catalogue is not a closed list. We also deploy other applications if the licence allows services around them, the project is actively developed and the vendor does not advise against the version you want to run. We check this before quoting, in the same way as for catalogue entries.

We leave out some popular applications because their vendors require permission to use the product name when describing paid services. Until we have that permission, we do not name them on the website.

How deployment and ongoing care work

Free · 60 minutes online · no obligation

First, a conversation about the process, then the tool.

  1. You tell us about the processOnline, by video call. What takes up time today, which systems hold the data and what you want to achieve.
  2. We tell you whether it's worth itSometimes a change to a spreadsheet or a process is enough. If so, we'll say that instead of proposing a project.
  3. You get the next stepBy email after the meeting: what to map, what data to prepare and what the price depends on.
